Observations

Date: 2013-03-25 19:42:19

I'm not really sure why I'm continuing to write this diary. I guess the only purpose is for family after I'm gone. It seems I've lost my two followers which really isn't much of a surprise. When you have cancer, the only real excitement is when you're declared terminal and then everybody wants to get on board like it was a fucking accident at a auto race!

Whatever, I don't care. I intended this as a 'stream of consciousness' anyway.

There is nothing new other than I get another PSA in early April and we'll see if I'm going to live a while longer. I don't give a fuck! The stress isn't worth it. I thought for a while that the increased dose of Zoloft was the answer to the depression but I guess it's not. It seems I just don't enjoy being under cancer's thumb.

Now I see that, even if I get 15 or 20 years before the disease takes me, I will NEVER be ready. The time will fly by so fast I won't even realize it. My wife will probably be gone and I will be alone in some institution. A lot to look forward to. :(

Even my relationship with my wife has stagnated. I now offer her anything of real value. She will die and never realize her potential because of her attachment to me. I have dragged her down the hole with me and it is probably too late for her to reclaim her life.

I'm sorry.

I don't expect to be alive in five years so...who gives a flying fuck WHAT I think???

Cheers!

Update On The Vegas Trip

Date: 2013-03-14 19:39:58

I guess I've been remiss about updating lately.

The trip to Las Vegas to see my son at Nellis AFB was a lot of fun. We got home Sunday night.
We we're able to stay on base which was VERY convenient! We stayed at the Nellis Inn and the amenities were excellent. We were even in the same building as my son, just a couple of floors above him.
We spent a lot of time doing our favorite things, eating and drinking of course.
We went down and walked around the strip for awhile until Dad's feet got tired. The wife and I have been there before so the strip didn't really hold any surprises, especially since we don't gamble.
My son had wanted to see the 'Venetian' so we just HAD to accommodate him. Lol!

Off To Vegas!

Date: 2013-03-05 19:03:24

Let's see... what' new?

This Friday morning we head out to Las Vegas to see my son who is on TDY at Nellis AFB. We're only five hours one way which isn't too bad and the scenery is nice. Hopefully, we will be staying on base which makes it VERY convenient for everybody involved since we would be at the same motel.
He is normally stationed at Shaw in South Carolina but is apt to go on temporary duty most anywhere in the world, most of the time, at a moment's notice, or so it seems.
We haven't seen him in over a year and this will be the only opportunity for quite a while.

Health continues to improve, as far as I know. No doctors for a while, thank goodness! I see Dr. K on April 9th for my next PSA. Hopefully it is continuing to go down.

*Sips bourbon*

It's supposed to rain here, starting on Friday and the old bones are feeling it already! Man, I wish we had a fireplace! Great place to sit and drink bourbon. Lol!

I must admit, I miss all the correspondence I was getting from my millions of devoted followers. I probably bored them to death!
I'm especially concerned about the lady in Scotland with the thyroid cancer. I hope everything is going well for her. Maybe if she reads this she'll shoot me an email! (Hint)

Well, I guess it's about time to consume a couple of liverwurst sandwiches (with mayo and mustard) and then maybe get ready for bed. Not too good for my diet but then again, a man needs to know his limitations! RESISTANCE IS FUTILE!

Cheers!
